Accepted the Transfer Station at no charge.

Brown Goods

Televisions, Computer Monitors, CPU’s

Accepted at the Transfer Station for a fee.

 

Cardboard

Corrugated, single layer boxboard (cereal boxes, tissue boxes, paper towel rolls) unlined feed sacks, grocery bags and Kraft envelopes 

Accepted at no charge.  Collection containers

are available in each city

within Butler County and at the Transfer Station.

Construction and Demolition Debris

 

Accepted at the Transfer Station

for a fee

All containers over 15 yds or more must be

 hauled direct to the Rural Iowa Landfill.

A Certificate of Compliance must accompany each load.

Drums

 

Accepted at the Transfer Station for a fee   Lids must be removed.

Florescent Tubes light fixtures and Ballasts

 

Accepted from businesses at the Transfer Station for a fee; Free to residents. Ballast with PCB Ballast without PCB Florescent Tubes  Florescent tubes

Clear and brown jars and bottles

Accepted at the Transfer Station at no charge.

Accepted at the Transfer Station at no charge.

Household Hazardous Waste

Flammable liquids and

solids, pesticides,

poisons, fertilizers, garden chemicals, household cleaners and chemicals,

anti-freeze and

oil-based paint.

Accepted at the Transfer Station at no charge for Butler County residents. Small quantity commercial generators will be charged, related to type and volume of hazardous materials. BCRCC will assist large quantity generators in finding appropriate disposal sites for their hazardous materials. By appointment only.

Generally any paper products that appear glossy are acceptable with magazines.

Anything that comes in the newspaper is acceptable with newspapers.

Pesticide Containers

 

Accepted at the Transfer Station.  Must be triple rinsed and approved by gate operator. 

Plastics #1

Check containers for the #1 recycling symbol.

Accepted at the Transfer Station for a fee. Car, Light Truck, Trucks, Semi, Farm Front, Farm Rear Small Farm Rear Large, Tires with rims additional charge

Oil Filters

 

Accepted at many locations within Butler County.  Accepted at the Butler County Transfer Station at no charge. Contact your local service stations.

White Paper

White and colored paper (excluding high-brights), computer paper, copy machine paper, white and colored envelopes (excluding Kraft (brown) envelopes), white and yellow legal pads, adding machine tapes, letterhead, tablet and note pads, fax paper, junk mail, carbonless forms/invoices and advertising fliers.

Accepted at the Transfer Station at no charge.  Accepted at City Collection Containers
